Can Cheap Contact Lenses Impact Eye Health
A report from a professional tennis player who completed a vision-fitness program further illustrates the point that wearing cheap contact lenses can ultimately hinder your eye health:
“Exercise for me is a form of expanding my rhythm (breath) and the space occupied by my body. As I stretch my body and eye muscles into space, so my ability to see increases. While exercising, I move my eyes left, right, up, and down. I focus to different distances.
“Whenever possible, I wear no lenses (not even discount contact lenses) while playing; otherwise I slip on my vision-fitness prescription. I have, on a number of occasions, beaten my partner using my natural vision-fitness. It’s almost like I can see the moving ball better.
“My warm-up procedure includes swinging my body from left to right, hanging my head down, and rolling my neck. These exercises help me loosen my muscles and keep them flexible. I also monitor my breathing and stretch my eyes. After a vigorous workout, I’ll palm my eyes for fifty breaths and visualize the eye parts receiving healthy blood.”
